About the Author

Foggy Forest Path

Jacob LeDoux was born in 1996 in southern New Hampshire. He is currently working on several projects that would fall under the umbrella of dark speculative fiction. His work focuses on a certain bleakness that is prevalent throughout all of his writing. For those who enjoy stories with darker themes, moral ambiguity, and existential dread, his stories hone in on these specific things.

Currently, he is drafting several projects. An epic dark fantasy novel with the working title, The Dragon Rising. The story follows a group of heroes in the kingdom of Broyulon as they stand against the dreaded Church of the Pale Flame and their demonic allies. A science-fiction novella, The Underrail, which focuses on a railway repair bot named Gratchy as he avoids being seized by corporate security and military assets, all while starting a rebellion against the mega-corporations to free his robotic brethren. He is also working on various shorter forms of fiction across several genres, from dark fantasy to weird west, military science fiction, and even horror.

About the Author's Current Projects

At the moment, he is refining several short stories to submit to various literary magazines such as Nightmare, Grimdark Magazine, and Pseudopod for potential publication. His projects may be diverse, but all are connected through that lens of darkness and questionable morality. Upon eventual publication of his short fiction, he will be seeking representation for his longer ficitonal pieces.
